A favourite of many Sunday School classes, the Old Testament book of Daniel is full of vivid, action-filled stories, colourful dreams, and super-natural visions. But what is its message for followers of Jesus today? At the heart of the book of Daniel is an important and enduring question, a question which many of us have asked at one time or another: Where is God when it matters most? In the midst of uncertainty, or in the face of suffering, or when things appear hopeless, does God care? Is he in control, and will he put things right? In the coming weeks we’ll be exploring these and other themes in our new sermon series, The Writing’s On the Wall.
