The Spirit and Mission | Acts 1:1-11 | Jaime Dickson

In the wake of the dramatic events of Easter, where the story of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection leaves the reader on something of a cliff-hanger, we ask “what next?” The New Testament book of Acts answers that question. What Jesus began to do in his earthly life – establish God’s Kingdom in the world – he continued to do by his Spirit. That’s the big idea of Acts. It’s against this background, that we explore the task which Jesus have his disciples in taking forward Jesus’ mission in the world, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
